PMO Assessment & Implementation – Crown Corporation

Midgard was retained by a Saskatchewan Crown Corporation to develop and implement Project Management standards for their capital construction projects.

Midgard worked with the client to develop and implement processes and tools including Project Management software and a formalized Management Program. The solution was customized to suit the needs of the business and aligned with the Project Management Institute’s (PMI) best practices. A Project Management Office (PMO) was developed to apply the new processes consistently across projects and to maintain and continuously improve upon Project Management Practices. Midgard continues to manage the PMO.

The overhaul of the Client's typical project delivery model impacted approximately two hundred employees in a functional environment. Midgard’s expertise in Change Management was critical to the success of this implementation.

The implemented solution provides consistency in how projects are being delivered and transparency into the health of Capital projects. The ability to report on real time information at the project, program or portfolio level allows the business to make informed corporate decisions.
